Lauren Backler is a 22 year old actor, based in East Sussex and London. She completed her Actor Training at The University Of Northampton’s School Of The Arts last year. Lauren has a particular interest in theatre acting, and loves performing classical and Shakespearean texts. This probably arose from working with a company in Sussex each summer in her breaks from training, in which she played various roles in out-door Shakespeare productions; two of which were toured to Norway. Favourite roles during her training include Liubov Bakunin in ‘The Coast Of Utopia: Voyage’ directed by Elly Green and The Nurse and other parts in ‘How To Disappear Completely And Never Be Found’ directed by Ria Parry both performed at The Royal & Derngate Theatre in Northampton. Since graduating Lauren has appeared in a feature film, The Neuropath and most recently has been playing the role of Lisa in a new comedy play ‘Girlband’ which was performed at The Bell Pub in Liverpool Street in April, The Watford Live Festival in June & The Camden Fringe Festival in August!
